  • FORUM VINI 2012: 9th – 11th November 2012

The motto of this year’s wine fair was: come – taste – enjoy!
9460 visitors followed this invitation and used the chance to gather information from 248 exhibitors about their products from the wide world of wine. But of course, they did not only look for information - they also bought and ordered wines and delicatessen. Experienced exhibitors called it the best show for years.

Already on Friday, a lot of wine lovers came to M,O,C, Event Center; on Saturday, the hall was crowded to overflowing so that even a temporary closure had to be considered; as usual it was a little bit quieter on Sunday.
The move from the two smaller halls 1 and 2 to the larger hall 3 with approximately 170 square meters less floor space did not do any harm to the good mood at all: in fact, the pleasant and lively atmosphere in one hall received approval already from the first day onwards.

The special tasting area of the International Wine Academy MUNDUS VINI, where 120 wines of this year’s competition were presented, was again very well received. Due to the high demand, the distribution had to be limited to be able to offer the award winning wines to as many interested visitors as possible.

The joint stand of 21 members of the group “Generation Riesling” was again a visitor magnet; everybody praised the expertise and profound knowledge of the young wine-makers. Their presentation was organised by the German Wine Institute and was the finale of this year’s successful tour of Europe, which had led the new generation of wine-makers to Oslo, London, Berlin and finally to Munich.

The visitors appreciated the fact that public transport was included in the advance sale tickets sold by MünchenTicket, as well as the chance to buy a combi ticket and also visit the fair „eat&STYLE“ in the close-by Zenith hall and its cookery shows with celebrity chefs. The many M//Card -owners amongst the visitors were delighted about the cooperation which guaranteed reduced entry fees for them. Adelholzener Alpenquellen once again provided free mineral water for all visitors, which was of course very much appreciated.

Next year’s date for FORUM VINI is already set:
