- New: Special area Xocolade at FORUM VINI
The 22nd edition of the International Wine Fair FORUM VINI ended in very good mood on Sunday evening.
9,583 visitors could choose from a huge variety of offers from 323 exhibitors: Wines from all significant growing areas, sparkling wines, fine brandies, delicatessen and regional specialties, accompanying products like literature, cellar equipment, wine accessories and many more. The visitors – private consumers as well as professionals - had the chance to taste, to compare and to take their choice in all categories according to their taste, demands and budget.
The small special show on the trendy topic chocolate met with great interest: eleven exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria presented finest chocolates, handmade pralines and fancy truffle creations.
FORUM VINI – exciting not only for private wine lovers: Wines which were presented at FORUM VINI for the first time have found their way into the listings of specialised trade and gastronomy.
Numerous new wineries and cooperatives from Italy, especially from Southern Italy, introduced themselves, so far unknown producers from France brought their wines to the German market for the first time, and importers presented their current offer of wines from all over the world with great value for money, also for re-sellers.
The first-time participants especially appreciated the advantage of this fair that on the one hand, taste and preferences of the customers can be tested and on the other hand, numerous representatives from the specialised trade and gastronomy got to know their offer.
A broad range of regional specialties and delicatessen made it possible to enlarge the portfolio and offer of presents for the pre-Christmas period: Numerous exhibitors offered extravagant delicatessen and specialties which can hardly found in shops yet, for example olive jam, apricot vinegar, Silvaner pasta, venison products from Styria, eatable blossoms, etc.
The majority of exhibitors noted very good to satisfying business transactions. Especially those who participated for the first time reported in interviews that they were surprised about the superb visitor quality and the many new contacts –also from the specialised trade-, which let them hope for good follow-up orders
The number of exhibitors and visitors, the many orders and the “See you next year…” from many sides have shown that FORUM VINI has taken root in the trade show environment despite the overflow of wine events. The interest shown by new customers during the show, reservations and demands for larger spaces next year let us expect successful days for FORUM VINI in the future. Because of the many professional visitors, some exhibitors suggested to introduce a professional day after the three public days next year – we will take this into consideration.
